Mechanical Insulation

Pipe, duct, and equipment insulation for commercial and industrial projects, installed to spec and built to last.

About Mechanical Insulation

Mechanical insulation does quiet, constant work. It keeps chilled water cold and hot water hot, stops condensation before it turns into mold and ceiling damage, protects people from scalding surfaces, and keeps energy from leaking out of every foot of pipe and duct in a building.

Heat and humidity make that work harder. A cold line that sweats will drip, corrode, and rot whatever is beneath it. We install insulation systems with continuous vapor barriers and sealed seams so they keep performing years after the ceiling tiles go back in.

What We Handle

Piping systems

Chilled water, condenser water, heating hot water, domestic hot and cold, refrigerant, steam, and process lines.

Ductwork

Supply, return, and exhaust duct wrap and duct liner, with vapor-retarder facings sealed for humid climates.

Equipment

Chillers, pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, and air handlers, including removable insulation covers for valves and serviceable parts.

Jacketing and finishes

Aluminum, stainless, and PVC jacketing for exposed, outdoor, and washdown areas where insulation needs protection.

Mechanical Insulation FAQs

Why does insulation matter so much in humid climates?+

Humidity. Any cold surface below the dew point will collect condensation, and in a humid climate that can be most of the year. Properly installed insulation with an intact vapor barrier keeps chilled lines dry, which protects ceilings, finishes, and the pipe itself from water damage and corrosion.

Do you work to project specifications?+

Yes. We install to the engineer's insulation specification for material, thickness, and jacketing, and we flag anything that looks like it won't perform in the field before it becomes a problem.

Can you insulate equipment that needs regular service?+

Yes. We provide removable, reusable insulation covers for valves, strainers, pumps, and other components so maintenance crews can get in and out without destroying the insulation.
